PMWEB Hosting & SaaS —Flexible Deployment for APAC Organisations

PMWEB Software as a Service (SaaS) is the most popular option — with all hosting included in the fee and secure delivery via Amazon Web Services to any Region within APAC. Alternatively, PMWEB may be purchased (perpetual licence) and hosted on your own systems, whether on-premise, or in your nominated data centre or cloud. PMWEB also offers managed hosting, providing the equivalent of SaaS.

Deployment Options

Three Ways to Host PMWEB

PMWEB is a 3-tier Windows application with a browser-based front-end, IIS-based ASP.Net Business Logic Layer and MS SQL-Server backend. PMWEB can be hosted in Physical-only, Virtual-only or a mix of physical and virtual server infrastructure. If PMWEB is acquired as Software as a Service (SaaS) – the most popular delivery option – all hosting is included in the fee.

Hosted by PMWEB

Hosting provided at either a secure Amazon Web Services Data Centre located in APAC (whether existing PMWEB sites in Australia, Singapore and Hong Kong; or other APAC locations including New Zealand, Japan, Korea, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia and India); the Americas; Europe; the Middle East and Africa. Client may choose the location.

Australian data centre option available via Amazon Web Services, with locations in Sydney and Melbourne
Multiple global locations — client selects preferred data residency
Additional delivery options available to meet Client needs and government requirements – e.g., delivery via the Google Cloud in KSA
Dedicated server option available at additional fee, with secure direct SQL Server database access provided to Clients

Client's Own Systems

Hosting on a client's own systems. PMWEB can be hosted in Physical-only, Virtual-only or a mix of physical and virtual server infrastructure. There are many secure Data Centres and Cloud facilities in which PMWEB can be hosted under a contract directly between the Client and the hosting or Cloud provider.

Physical-only, Virtual-only, or hybrid infrastructure supported

SaaS on AWS — Our Primary Recommendation

What's Included in PMWEB SaaS

The Base SaaS package comprises: PMWEB's Platform with Business Intelligence Reporting; Project Management (including Contract Management and Cost Management); Document Management; Visual Workflow; Asset Explorer; Custom Form Builder; the required number of PMWEB Licences; Hosting by PMWEB; 1TB storage (higher for larger numbers of Licences); and the ability to create/manage an unlimited number of programs/projects of all types. Additional features are available in the optional Core and Premier packages.

SaaS is the most popular alternative for Clients who require an all-inclusive turn-key solution that manages and maintains all infrastructure in a secure environment. PMWEB SaaS utilises the Amazon Web Services EC2 Cloud, for which the Australian Cyber Security Centre (ACSC) has awarded PROTECTED status – the highest security rating available in Australia for cloud services providers. PMWEB SaaS is also available with full functionality for a small number of users, suitable not only for small Clients needing this powerful functionality, but also for larger Clients seeking an extended Pilot of actual use in the field, prior to proceeding with organisation-wide roll-out.

PMWEB SaaS is typically operational in its out-of-the-box form within five (5) business days of signing the SaaS Agreement. Implementation can be fast-tracked by running initial implementation tasks in parallel — see details on our Quick Start Packages which can complete configuration and training within weeks, according to specific Client requirements.

PMWEB system architecture: a load-balanced web front-end and clustered SQL Server database back-end, accessed by desktop and mobile browsers over the internet, intranet or VPN.
Facility Locations

SaaS Available from Multiple Locations

PMWEB SaaS is available from multiple locations throughout the world, with existing PMWEB deployments throughout APAC, the Americas and EMEA – serving government and private-sector Clients with as few as 10 users to more than 10,000 users.

Australia and New Zealand

For Australia, all data is restricted to Australian availability zones in the AWS Sydney and Melbourne Regions, ensuring all data is retained in Australia. Clients may operate across both Regions at no additional cost, allowing enhanced geographical separation for DR and State-specific data retention. For Clients in New Zealand, AWS opened its Auckland Region in 2025, also with three Availability Zones — allowing Clients to retain all data in NZ.

APAC

HKA has implemented PMWEB SaaS for APAC Clients from AWS EC2 Cloud locations in Australia, Singapore and Hong Kong; with other AWS APAC locations able to deliver PMWEB SaaS with full out-of-the-box functionality in less than a week – including New Zealand, Japan, Korea, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia and India. This allows APAC clients to choose the location that best suits their data residency and server timezone requirements. HKA also supports PMWEB global clients operating across APAC from PMWEB AWS locations in other Regions.

Other Global Locations

PMWEB SaaS is available from any AWS EC2 Cloud location in the Americas (including Canada); the United Kingdom and EMEA (Europe; the Middle East and Africa). HKA has implemented PMWEB SaaS in all these locations; and continues to provide both support and continuous improvement services for those Clients. PMWEB SaaS is also available in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, utilising the Google Cloud delivered from the Dammam region to meet KSA data residency requirements. Read more on AWS Locations worldwide
